The XTube® Monotube heat exchanger is made of stainless steel and consists of two concentrically nested tubes. The dirty fluid flows through the inner tube, while the clean fluid flows between the two tubes.
The ratio of tube diameters consists of different tube diameters selected based on the flow rate of the working fluid. Corrugated tubes are used significantly to enhance heat transfer efficiency, thereby minimizing the size of the required heat exchanger.
The units are designed and manufactured according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/CE) specifications and include the CE mark if necessary.
Materials:
All parts that come into contact with the product (inner tube and elbow) are made of stainless steel AISI 316L. Duplex alloys are also available if required to handle corrosive liquids.
On the service side, stainless steel AISI-304 is used, but AISI-316L can be used if desired.
The parts that do not come into contact with the fluid are made of stainless steel -304.
The exterior surface of the heat exchanger has a matte finish, but the parts in contact with the product have low roughness, such as Ra ≤ 0.8 microns.
Connections:
The XTube® Monotube Heat Exchangers are designed with connections compliant with ISO standards, including “clamps,” to accelerate and facilitate the installation and inspection of the units.
Depending on the special process conditions or requirements of design codes, the XTube standard conditions for designing Monotube exchangers are as follows:
Design Conditions:
Temperature Minimum / Maximum Allowed: -40°C / +180°C
Pressure Minimum / Maximum Allowed: Vacuum / 10 Bar (g)
The units are designed and manufactured in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/AT) specifications and include the CE mark if necessary. Higher pressures and temperatures are possible upon request.
