Design
A spiral heat exchanger is a heat exchanger obtained by placing two sheet metal coils wound in a spiral shape parallel to each other inside a shell. It results in obtaining two channels with a spiral winding and rectangular cross-section, allowing for desired heat transfer as different fluids pass through these channels.
Advantages
Suitable for fluids with very high suspended solid content or in slurry form.
Suitable for fluids containing abrasive solid materials.
Mechanical cleaning is easily accessible from both sides.
Provides high heat transfer efficiency.
Occupies less space compared to its counterparts in terms of dimensions.
No gaskets that could be affected by temperature or cause maintenance problems are present.
Easy Maintenance
Through the covers on both sides, easy access can be obtained to the compartments where both fluids are located without the need for any special apparatus. Maintenance periods are very short.
